In Le Grand-Bornand, head towards Le Chinaillon and continue for 6 km. Once you’ve passed the sign marking the entrance to Chinaillon, follow the signs for Route de l’Envers du Chinaillon and park at the Mulaterie car park.

Follow the “Chemin de la Mulaterie”, then the “Chemin du Lac”, which passes through a small wood. On leaving the wood, take a path that climbs up to the lake.
For a change of scenery, you can return via La Nouvelle and Les Bouts (+ 1 hour).
You can also set off from La Côte and return via the same route.
