The Head of the Danay by le Grand-Bornand

Description

Discover the head of the Danay, panorama and orientation tables at the cross overlooking the Aravis, the Refuge du Danay. Pleasant varied itinerary in case of strong heat.

Departure at Le Grand-Bornand (skating rink) follow Tête du Danay by the Danay d'en Haut. Behind the skating rink, take a forest path to pass the Bois de Dodes then the Dodes and reach Le Macheret. Turn right towards Les Frasses Girard d'en Haut, follow the path then the road for 300 m, at the car park take the path on the left and join Le Danay d'en Haut. From the chalet go up to the Tête du Dnay and go back to La Croix. Go down towards Le grand-Bornand via Bois de la Pezerette following the ridge. At Frête turn left to go down to the Bois de la Pézerette. From there join Frasses Jacquier then Le Macheret. Return to Le Grand-Bornand by the path taken on the outward journey.
