LA CABANE DU BOUT DU BOIS

The hike to the Cabane du Bout du Bois, starting from Les Agudes (Peyragudes resort), is best known as a snowshoe route in winter, but it is a very pleasant walk in summer. It is a family-friendly walk that allows you to explore the forest and the Larboust mountain pastures.

From the Agudes car park, the path climbs gradually through a beautiful forest of beech and fir trees. The gradient remains steady, with no technically challenging sections, making it an ideal walk on hot days thanks to the shade provided by the trees.
After half an hour’s walk, the forest thins out and the path opens onto a clearing where you’ll find the Cabane du Bout du Bois, an old shepherd’s hut situated on the boundary between the forest and the mountain pastures.
