Description
Perched on the heights of Montsaunès, this trail combines spiritual heritage with panoramic views not to be missed.
At the top of Mont de Poueigh stands the statue of the Virgin of Montsaunès, erected in 1938 in honour of Notre-Dame de la Paix. The site offers a remarkable panoramic view of the Garonne and Salat valleys and the Saint-Gaudens region, making it a must-see for hikers.

Detailed stages
Stage 1 - From the multi-purpose area at the Falaise de Montsaunès (Aire de Pique-Nique, gravel departure point), take the small steep path that climbs to the top of the hill and rises to the edge of the cliff. Follow the signs to the statue of the Virgin.
Stage 2 - Continue downhill. At the junction with the white pebble track, turn left, then after around 300m, turn left at the hunting hut and return to the starting point.
