A tour around Alzac

Make the most of your holidays in the Saint-Affrique countryside throughout buissières (narrow passages between two rows of box trees) and enjoy a family hiking loop unaffected by the passing of time, around Saint-Jean-d’Alcapiès, on the trail of iconic farmhouses with their typical Caussenarde robust architecture.When you leave the Alcapia car park, walk along the road to your right for 100 m, then take the first turn on the right, which is a small ascending road. When you reach the crossing of two dirt tracks (green lanes), go straight ahead.Once you have reached the Castel d'Alzac, walk across the car park and take the left hand road up to a crossroads where you turn to the right for 50 m, then take the path to the right for 200 m up to a buissière on your right (a narrow path lined with two rows of box trees). Carry straight on between the box trees for 2 km.At the junction, leave the large trail opposite by taking the small path to your right.On your way out of the hamlet, once you’ve passed a stone cross turn right along a small path, carry on for 400 m, then walk across the street.Walk under the bridge carrying the green way to reach the car park
