Starting from the Croix de Culet, accessible via the cable car, this circular hike is ideal for sporty snowshoers in search of sunshine and panoramic views of magnificent mountain ranges.
The snowshoe trails start at the top of the Croix-de-Culet cable car (look for the pink flag indicating the start).
Exit the cable car building and follow the path straight ahead, in the direction of Les Crosets. Following the pink trail marking signs, turn left onto trail number #13. Pass by Chez Coquoz restaurant and, at the Hotel Plein Ciel, turn left and follow the trail to the Grand Paradis chairlift arrival station. Follow the trail downhill under the chairlift, then head to the right to take the trail to the Lechereuse drag lift departure (this lift is closed for winter 23-24).
Continue along to the departure of the Pauvre Conche chairlift; on your left, you will see the restaurant Les Marmottes, the Ripaille peak, and the famous Chavanette black slope we call the 'Swiss Wall'. Turn right to cross under the chairlift line and head up the slope towards the Toupin Restaurant.
Continue uphill towards the reservoir lake and the Restaurant le Chaudron, then continue along the path until the Planachaux ski slope. Cross the ski slope (watch out for skiers) and turn left onto the steep trail that climbs back up to the Croix de Culet cable car.
