Mazerolles, Tour n°1

Start in front of the campsite entrance, at the bottom of the village. You can park your car 200 meters away on the leisure center car park (AAGAC). Go down to the river following the main road (D39) and cross the bridge. Continue on the same road for about 100 meters and turn right on the way to l’Espanié, Mouyragues.

Go up on the small sloping road for 100 meters and continue on the cobbled path as far as the large path. At this crossroads turn on the right and continue to walk up. You can see the château of Mazerolles on the other hill slope. Turn left on the grassy path, go alongside the house on the left and continue as far as the main road (D149). Walk on this road along the field for about 100 meters.

[Junction with the tour n°2 if you take the footpath going down in the forest after the crossroads] After the bend, at the end of the field, turn on the left on the steep path going to Loubière. After the farm turn left twice to get to Puech d’Auzou. Continue on the main road going down to the road D39. Turn on the right and pass through Mazerolles, beautiful village with a nice castle.

Continue on the road D39, pass in front of the cemetery and walk to the next crossroads. Turn left on the way to Singlarie/Les Gardes, continue on this road and turn left again to Les Gardes/La Farie. Stay on this road for 2.5 kms as far as the hamlet of Pontet. Once at the road D39 turn twice on the right to go to the river. At the swimming pool corner turn on the left and continue on the path along the river as far as the bridge.

Cross the bridge (Pont de la Frégère) and come back at the entrance of the campsite and de leisure centre to get your car.
