Port du Gros-Caillou

This way holds its name since 1905 of the likely presence of a stony border - which also gave the name of the street of Gros Caillou - Pebble-, bounding historically the land domains of the abbey Sainte-Geneviève and of the abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. This rock was demolished in the explosive by 1738. In 1956, a part of the expressway left bank encroaches on that of the port of Solférino.
