Description

Autrefois se tenait en ces lieux une partie du prieuré Sainte Foy, fondé en 1080 par les premiers comtes de Champagne. Fils de l'abbaye Sainte Foy de Conques, le prieuré reçut les reliques de la sainte le 4 mai 1523. Les derniers vestiges de cet édifice religieux démantelé à la Révolution Française disparurent en 1863, lors de la construction du Palais de Justice. Ce square rend hommage au gendarme Bouvenot, décédé accidentellement en 1938 lors d'une course poursuite digne des plus grands moments des " Brigades du Tigre " contre des voleurs de grand chemin.
