Spot de Cenitz

Just south of Avalanche and Guéthary, Cenitz Bay, classified as a "Conservatoire du Littoral", will seduce you with its natural side. The bottom is rocky and at low tide, it forms small natural pools.
If the spot may seem adequate to begin, the waves being rather slow and soft, you must still be wary of rocky bottoms. To the south of the bay unfolds a long and rather soft left, good for beginners. In the middle of the bay, the left-right peak is faster and therefore more suitable for initiated surfers. Finally, to the north of the beach where there are more rocks, there is a nice, fairly fast right, which still requires a higher level of practice. It is necessary to privilege the high tide to take advantage of the good waves of the spot. It is one of the rare spots working at high tide, so it can be very crowded.
