Biarritz Athlétic Club
Description
Opened in 1977, this sports complex includes a long wall on the left named Jaï-Alaï for the cesta punta with 1800 seats and 200 standing places, a short wall on the left for the pala, paleta and bare hands, and one trinquet (courtyard) for bare hand, paleta and xare. The club forms and presents players of all disciplines in competition. In 1956, it was the first to set up a school of cesta punta and since 1962, members of the BAC take part in world championships for this discipline. It organises the following competitions: the Biarritz Masters Jaï-Alaï in July and the Professional Golden Glove.
