Arboretum le Chemin de la Découverte de Melle

A 6.5 km long walking trail presenting more than 1400 species of trees and shrubs from all over the world with 9 recognised collections, 6 of which are approved by the Conservatoire des Collections Végétales Spécialisées and 3 classified as National Collections. Labelled as a Remarkable Garden, the discovery path can be walked in a single loop of about 1h30. This will allow you to discover washhouses, churches and the identity of our heritage.
A real initiatory walk, both tree-lined and city-lined, this route has information on several themes: bark, leaves, trees, roses and rosaceous plants, their geographical distribution, water and amusing anecdotes about different species.
