Le Vieux Château

This medieval castle from the 11th and 14th centuries is one of the rare examples of medieval military architecture. The two towers and the gate tower date from this period. The buildings inside the courtyard date from the 15th century. The Old Castle presents a beautiful defensive ensemble. It is located in the heart of the town of Airvault, labeled "Petite Cité de Caractère", and is classified as a "Monument Historique".
