To the north, on the heights of the city, lies ESTER: Espace Scientifique et Technologique d'Échanges et de Recherche. Every morning, researchers and engineers from around a hundred companies meet up with the glass and steel walls of this futuristic vessel, which has been moored here since 1993. Architects Bayard, Charron and Graffin focused on extreme modernity and the perfection of the circle. Here, cutting-edge technologies are honored around five major axes: biotechnologies, industrial ceramics, water treatment, electronics and optics.
