Your Experience
9/11 was a day that changed the world forever. Visiting the National 9/11 Memorial and Museum is an emotionally heavy experience, guaranteed to stir emotions among the visitors. The Memorial's twin reflecting pools, located within the foundation of the twin peaks, are nearly an acre in size each and feature the largest manmade waterfalls in North America. The names of every person who died in the attacks are inscribed into bronze panels edging the Memorial pools and serve as a powerful reminder of the horrific events.
Featuring over 11,000 artifacts from ephemera and textiles to artwork, books and more, the museum’s exhibitions attract over a million visitors each year. There are three permanent exhibition sections here. The Historical Exhibition takes you on a journey through the day before the event, the day of 9/11, and what followed after. You will even learn the story of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon and the story of Flight 93. The Memorial Exhibition "In Memoriam", offers visitors a chance to know the stories of the men, women, and children who succumbed to the tragedy. The Foundation Hall is a massive room that houses both the last column and the slurry wall.
Another important element in the 9/11 Memorial & Museum is the white oak trees that surround the pools. These trees were chosen due to their individuality (each tree grows and exhibits different behaviors at a specific time) which serves as a reminder of the individuals who lost their lives. Make sure to keep an eye out for the Survivor Tree. This Callery Pear tree was badly damaged after the attacks of September 11th and was nursed back to health before being returned in 2010. The new smooth limbs that extend from the shapeless stump create a visible demarcation between the past and the present, serving as a living reminder of hope and survival.

Highlights :

Visit the 9/11 Memorial and pay homage to the victims of the attacks at the twin reflecting pools.
Explore the museum and see over 11,000 artifacts collected from the site of the crash.
Check out the Survivor Tree, the only living thing that remained after the attacks of 9/11.

Summary :
Why Watch Chicago
Chicago is the longest-running American musical in Broadway history. Touted as the quintessential Broadway show, the musical has all the elements of entertainment - a racy storyline, glamorous characters, outstanding choreography, lively music, and stunning stage design. Chicago brilliantly manages to transport audience members to Chicago during the prohibition era. With superb performances by its cast, this musical masterpiece should be on everyone’s Broadway bucket list.
Chicago tells the story of Velma and Roxie, two rival vaudevillian murderesses who are locked in Cook County Jail. Velma is serving time for the murder of her husband and sister, while Roxie is in for the murder of her boyfriend, with whom she cheated on her husband. Velma takes the help of the prison matron, Mama morton, and enlists the services of slick Chicago lawyer Billy Flynn. Billy takes on the case and transforms Velma into a celebrity by brilliantly using the murder hypes to her advantage. But soon enough, he takes on the case of Roxie as well and, before you know it, the two murderesses find themselves in a battle for notoriety. As the women continuously plot to steal the limelight and attention of the media, they pull out their best tricks.

Your Experience
The Ground Zero tour begins at St. Paul's Cathedral, the 255-year-old church that withstood flying debris from the falling towers despite being only a block away. During the event's aftermath, the church served as a makeshift rescue center for victims of the attacks.
From there, follow your guide to the 9/11 Memorial, where you’ll learn about the symbolic places in the memorial plaza. These include the Survivor Tree as well as the Reflecting Absence, the largest man-made waterfalls on the continent.
In the final leg of your Ground Zero tour, your guide will prepare you for your visit to the 9/11 Museum. Your visit is self-guided, and we offer a skip-the-line ticket. The museum displays artifacts and first-person stories relating to September 11th. You can spend a good couple of hours in the museum, although you’re welcome to stay for as long as it’s open.
