In Arthez de Béarn, a village of character at the top of the Béarn hillsides, the Chapel of Caubin is a high place of passage for pilgrims on their way to the Puy des chemins de Compostelle.
The Chapel of Caubin is the last vestige of a commandery founded in 1154. Very prosperous in the 16th century, the commandery gradually fell into abandonment and the chapel was not restored until the sixties.
During your visit, you will notice its unique architecture, in the shape of a semicircle, with a four-pitched roof and a bell wall. Inside, part of the ceramics of which are original, stands the lying of a knight in a blazing fire.
