The Azkonbegi Chapel is nestled in the Azkonbegi quarter of Lantabat, the four quartered village that runs along a whole valley. Dedicated to Saint-Cyprien, its origins date back to the 12th century. A beautiful wooden statue can be admired on the altarpiece and in the cemetery of the 17th and 18th century discoid steles and Navarrese crosses. There is also at the entrance to the Azkonbegi district, a beautiful crossroads cross carved on both sides
To visit, ask for the key from the owner of the first house to the left of the chapel. In his absence, there is no possibility of opening it.
