Situated north-east of Mont de Marsan on the border between the Landes and the Gers, Le Frêche has only been able to preserve two of its six churches from its religious past.
The church of Saint-Pierre is located in the heart of the village. Following a recent collapse, only the front wall of the nave and the bell tower remain. The undecorated arched doorway is said to be medieval, while the bell tower dates from 1741. It is however in this village at the Convent of Beyris that the marriage of François 1st and Eleanor of Austria in 1530 is located. Only a few sections of the walls remain. However, the Manor of Tampouy, the former Maison Forte where the wedding would have stayed is still visible by the hiking trails near the Green Way of Marsan and Armagnac.
