Founded in 1322, this bastide was occupied by the English until 1442. Witnesses of this past, some evocative street names: rue des fossés, rue des remparts and rue du chemin de ronde. Around the central square with its corners and arcades, there are old houses from the 14th and 15th centuries. From the bridge over the Adour, there is a very picturesque view of the old houses with wooden balconies that border the river
