Parc des 7 eaux

To the east of Morcenx and the Arjuzanx National Reserve, the commune of Arengosse is located 26 km north-west of Mont-de-Marsan, close to the Landes de Gascogne Regional Nature Park. Make a stop in its Parc des 7 eaux, a traditional outbuilding of an airial that was moved and then rebuilt in the village, in front of which a swinging well was installed
This former sheep park has a silhouette comparable to that of the airial's dwelling. Contrary to the majority of the Landes sheep pens which have a roof with three or four waters maximum, the one of Arengosse has seven, hence its name! This roof is supported by wooden posts resting on stone bases and connected by plank walls.
