The village of Sauviac, accessible by small roads that make the charm of the southern Gironde countryside, is located a few kilometres from Bazas. A hiking loop allows you to walk from Bazas through Sauviac. For the most curious it is possible to see from the road the private castle of the village dating from the 17th century.
The church of Sainte-Praxède, in Romanesque style (11th century) was restored in the 19th century. It has a panelled nave and two Romanesque capitals at the chevet.
