The church of this former barony dates back to Romanesque times. The nave remains as a regular medium size nave with round-arched windows, and the apse as a hemicycle, the structure of which is hidden by a recent plastering. Neither the apse nor the nave had a vault
At the end of the Gothic period, the apse was given a star-shaped vault ending with a key decorated with a crown of thorns.
In the 19th century, the nave of the church was covered by a false plaster vault; a bell-tower-porch leaned against the west façade. Inside, under the chevet roof, a rectangular opening can be seen. It could be a small protective enclosure, which allowed the medieval villagers to take refuge there. It was accessed by a wooden ladder.
