Village de Marimbault

Marimbault, whose site has been inhabited since antiquity, would be the contraction of two words: the first would designate in Latin a farm; the second, Ragimbald, being a Germanic personal name. One can therefore think that a farm or an estate of Ragimbald once stood here. Other researches lean towards mas (house) and Imbal or bault (for the name). No certainty, notice to the researchers !!
