Village de Captieux

A stopover town on the Way of Saint James, Captieux is an integral part of the Landes de Gascogne Regional Natural Park.
Lac de Taste is ideal for a family walk, a fishing trip on the pontoon or a picnic by the water. In summer, several days of sporting activities for all ages are organised with paddle, tree climbing, canoeing, orienteering, pony riding, etc. On leaving the lake, don't miss the "Le Pavillon" work of art located on the course of the Contemporary Art Forest.
The town regularly comes alive during its weekly Monday market located near the church, the Rugby y toros feria in June and the Fête des Bœufs Gras in February
A cinema as well as a cultural centre where many shows take place make Captieux a town where life is good all year round.
