Village de Cours-les-Bains

Cours took the name of Cours-les-Bains following a presidential decree of 07 March 1887. This change is linked to the thermal establishment which was very famous at the time and which was very busy.
The highest point of the department of the Gironde is located on the commune at the place called "Samazeuilh", it is 166 meters. The commune has many differences in altitude which delight hikers and mountain bikers on the marked hiking trails.
