Originally built 1628, the site contained the Romanesque church of St Etienne, a cloister, cells for the monks, a kitchen and refectory, minor rooms, a large wine cellar and an enclosed vineyard. Although partially destroyed during the Revolution, archaelogical digs and painstaking restoration have brought back to life the entrance door and part of the nave as well as Merovingian and 18th century burial places. It is today the home of the Municipal Multimedia Centre.
