Motte Maucourt
Description
This mound, covered with wood, is the result of a development carried out in feudal times for defensive purposes, probably during the 13th century. This dating, indicated by the excavations carried out on the site, corresponds to a period of insecurity in the Entre-deux-Mers. This type of construction is then frequent between La Sauve and Sauveterre.
