The commune includes the hamlets of Blaignan and Caussan. The village, formerly located in Blaignan, has developed in Caussan. However, the commune still retains the name of Blaignan, a reminder of the former noble house, whose castle was located on the mound of the place called Blaignan. In the 11th century, a Romanesque church with a cemetery was built near the castle. It was demolished after the 1940 war.
The present church, built in the 19th century in the centre of the new town of Caussan, was restored in 1970
