The most remarquable site of Illats is the Saint-Laurent church. It contains a semicircle apse with a side bay from the 19th century.
The western portal with five vaults has been listed historical monument. The setting of the capital of the forth pilar on the right shows two quadrupeds sitting back to back, the mouth turned to a human mask instead of the angle scroll with webbed wings. The rearranged and unique nave is preceded by the beginning of a fake transept. The triumphal arch of the choir was enlarged during the 12th century by two sculpted columns.
