Rebuilt largely in the 19th century, the church of Saint-Maixant of the 11th century has a Romanesque apse, built in large limestone apparatus, structured by four buttresses treated in engaged columns, and underlined by a moulded cornice supported by historiated corbels. The south side of the nave features a small cubic device and a walled door with thin keystones, which links the building to the pre-Romanesque period.
