Get some height!
Set out to storm this 13th century dungeon! An emblematic architectural element of Saint-Emilion, it is today the high point of the Jurade celebrations.
Set foot in the place where the New Wine Judgement is proclaimed each year in June and the Harvest Banquet in September.
From the roof of the building, the whole city offers itself to you to reward you for the 118 steps climbed.
This massive square dungeon, built in the 13th century, remains full of mystery. We do not know the name of its sponsor and its role remains obscure: weapon of dissuasion or symbol of power?
