Located exactly above the monolithic church, it was built between the 12th and 15th centuries. The top of the spire rises 68 metres above the market square, making it the highest bell tower in the Gironde after that of Saint-Michel in Bordeaux. Climbing the 196 steps allows you to dominate the whole town of Saint-Emilion and its fabulous vineyards.
