The church depended until the 16th century on the abbey of Saint-Sauveur de Blaye, then on the convent of the Minim fathers of Bordeaux.
The nave of the church, barrel vaulted, has 4 bays, the first 2 to the east of which date from the end of the 12th century. The arms of the transept are formed by two chapels with absidioles, vaulted on cross vaults. The apse forms a half cylinder topped by a half cone roof. The bell tower is placed on the north façade of the nave. The portal (listed as a Historic Monument) is framed by two buttresses, dating from the 15th century and presenting five pointed arch vaults that fall on short columns topped with capitals.
