Église de Saint-Genès de Fronsac

Description

The western and eastern extremities of the church, as well as the base of the bell tower, located on the north arm of the transept, date from the 12th century. A two-bay, rib-vaulted lower side was added to the south of the nave towards the end of the 15th century and the beginning of the 16th century. The facade is carved with three semicircular arches. The portal in the central arcade is decorated with two vaults resting on two columns with fluted capitals. Two marble holy water fonts dating from 1774, one of which rests on a carved console, are placed at the entrance of the nave.
