Oriented from west to east, this rural church has undergone several successive alterations. The oldest element is the south wall of the nave, fitted with narrow bays dating from the early 12th century. The Romanesque choir of the building is later and probably dates from the second half of the 12th century. The nave, which has nine bays, is similar in many ways to that of Langoiran. The western façade of the sanctuary was built during the 13th or 14th century. It was remodelled in the second half of the 15th century, with the arrival of the Gavaches. The building has traces of fortifications, like many others. The present sacristy dates from after 1691.
