Eglise Saint-Martin de Ladaux

The entrance is through the west gate. Ogival with three archivolts on columns, the portal is completed by triangular pilasters surmounted by bells. The bell tower has two semicircular bays and an iron cross at the top. The lower part of the apse of the sanctuary is of Romanesque style, up to the level of the 14th century cornice, above which is a two-foot thick wall with loopholes, which says a lot about the climate of insecurity at the end of the medieval era and the beginning of the modern era. Moreover, the apse is higher than the nave and its lower sides. The vessel is separated from the square choir (XIVth) by a triumphal arch.
