From the primitive Romanesque church remains the south portal dated from the 12th century. The building was rebuilt in the 16th century, and the apse bears an inscription according to which this part was built in 1554 by the master mason Martial Roux. It is he who also built the apse of the church of Créon. The new vaults are built from 1880. A document of 1761 mentions that "there are no paintings". The frescoes are thus perhaps the work of Italian artists passing through around 1770 or 1775. The church is registered in its entirety in the supplementary inventory of Historical Monuments.
