Basse-Roque, formerly called Bas Laroque, is an old village dependent on the neighbouring castle of Laroque. The Oeuille brook, crossed by a footbridge and a cradle-vaulted, freestone bridge, separates the area from the remains of the old castle. The hamlet is home to houses from the 17th and 18th centuries, many of which were restored in the 19th century.
