This priory church dates from the 12th century (the Benedictine priory was attached to the Abbey of the Sauve-Majeure). The whole is remarkable, consisting of a single nave and a Romanesque apse, with wall thicknesses exceeding 1 meter. The neo-Medieval bell tower was added in the 19th century. It is in the south that the exceptional carved decoration of the building develops. The portal, classified, is the most richly decorated in Gironde (after that of Castelvieil). Its layout, with a central door without a tympanum and two false side doors, links it to the Saintongeaise Romanesque school.
