Jardin public "Roseraie"

Ramparts of the castle of Hautefort in Périgord crumble :
On February 2, 1897 (it was expected since the day before), the ramparts had collapsed and were rebuilt. The 2 houses that had been devastated were not rebuilt, and the site of one of them became a public garden, a "rose garden", a source of inspiration for poets and perhaps Bertran de Born.
This is how legends are born..
The rebuilt ramparts and the west tower of the castle dominate this very pleasant and quiet place to rest.
