Village de Thonac

Description

In the heart of the Vézère valley in the Dordogne, Thonac is a village in the Périgord Noir close to the town of Montignac, which owes its reputation to the Lascaux cave.

Nestling on the right bank of the Vézère, Thonac is the link between the sites of the valley such as the Parc Thot, the Château de Losse and the Castel-Merle site in Sergeac.

Although crossed by one of the most picturesque tourist routes of the Périgord Noir, between the great sites downstream and the immense fame of Lascaux upstream, Thonac preserves its character as a completely rural community.
