Description
The church, dating from the 12th century, is first mentioned in 1169. In 1187, Pope Urbain III took under his protection the church of Plazac, included in the domains belonging to the bishop of Périgueux.
It was the bishops of Périgueux who built the castle to protect the church and the population.
