Description

Dedicated to St John the Baptist, the church was originally of Romanesque style (there is still a Romanesque choir). It has a polychrome 18th century altarpiece.
Mazeyrolles is halfway between Villefranche du Périgord and Monpazier. It was the scene of great battles during the wars of religions, where Catholics and Protestants of Villefranche and Monpazier met in a square called "the camp of Boulet".
