Remains of the first Benedictine monastery of Brantôme (8th century) cut into the limestone cliff partly hidden by the convent buildings: dwellings, pigeon houses, miraculous fountain St. Sicarius whose relics are preserved in the Abbey church and the mysterious Last Judgement Cave and its two monumental bas-reliefs. Self-guided tour (with explicative signs) combined with the Museum Fernand Desmoulin, or guided tour for groups by prior arrangement only.
