Lac des Carolins
Description
Lake located in Lescar, near Pau (approximately 8 km).
Lac des Carolins is fed by Ousse des Bois. It consists of two basins of 0.5 ha and 2 ha.
The city of Lescar has organised the site to create a privileged place for fishing, walking and discovery. Playground and picnic area, occasional events in the summer, refreshments and food. The barbecues light up every Friday in summer.
Thanks to the footpath around the lake, you will have the opportunity to observe some of the many species that inhabit this natural area: swans, herons, ducks, dragonflies and perhaps even the shy Cistude turtles. The plant life is that of the prairies, fallow land and wetlands of the Béarn: oak, ash, alder, poplars, etc.
