A former mining site, the Arjuzanx National Reserve, now redeveloped, offers year-round walks and bathing in an exceptional environment.
Every winter, more than 20,000 cranes find refuge in what is now the major wintering site for the whooping crane. From mid-November to mid-March, from a 15m-high observatory offering a panoramic view of the dormitories, you can witness the grandiose spectacle offered by these thousands of birds as they return to the Reserve or leave for the agricultural plains.
In spring and summer, naturalist rangers offer nature activities on reservation.
The Maison de site, an information and discovery center, welcomes you all year round. Interpretation trails freely accessible.
