A true haven of nature and peace, this long stretch of water is a delight for anglers and walkers alike. Artificially created in the 1980s, it stretches between the Pimpine stream and the old Bordeaux-Sauveterre railroad line, now rehabilitated as a greenway.
If you don't make too much noise, you'll come across turtles, frogs, ducks, moorhens, birds and various species of fish.
Although swimming is prohibited, walking, picnicking and fishing are highly recommended. Fishing cards are available from the Fédération peche33 or in specialist stores.
Pond population: roach, carp, bream, black bass, perch, pike, eel. Trout releases are organized; find out more on the website of AAPPMA La Vallée de la Pimpine, which has been managing recreational fishing on the pond since 2016.
