Discover a unique environment, hidden deep in the Ludon marshland.
To enter the marshland is to discover a unique environment, with wetland plants home to hundreds of species of insects, stealthily moving from root to leaf. The many hectares of marshland were formed over centuries on natural bog-sites, gradually fed by the floods and tides of the Garonne River. The result is an endless ballet of flora and fauna, perfectly adapted to survive in these wetlands, a delicately balanced environment which itself is in need of constant protection. For the wetlands to be conserved, their story must be told. As such, visitors are invited to come and, with a bit of luck, catch a glimpse of some of the marshland's inhabitants: fish, amphibians, birds, mammals, reptiles and insects can all be found hiding, nesting, and feeding among the reeds.
