The Dropt Valley used to harbour a whole host of water mills, but only four are still in working order today. You can still admire the splendid Loubens mill and fortified Bagas mill though (from the outside only); the latter was built at the turn of the 14th century and is an all-out defensive engineering feat. Also worth seeing, a stone’s throw from the Loubens mill, are the guard rail and metal framework remains of an Eiffel bridge.
