The wetland of Le Roc, communes of Saint-Just and Paussac-St-Vivien, is a remarkable and picturesque natural site because of its rich fauna and flora and the wetlands present. In clear regression during the last century, they are today the object of a very particular attention with an ecological management of the habitats and a valorization of the sites. The wetlands fulfil different functions: support for summer flows and buffer role for floods ("sponge" effect), water purification, biodiversity reservoir... The Syndicat de Rivières du Bassin de la Dronne is the site manager: agreement with the riparian owners and municipalities. You will find on site, a limestone escarpment with a railing and an interpretation panel illustrating the environments and actions undertaken, overlooking the landscapes of the Euche valley.
